Tackling Diabetes: Solutions to a Complex Disease

The above event, Tackling Diabetes: Solutions to a Complex Disease, sponsored by PhRMA, took place on December 6, 2016. The Hill convened lawmakers, medical experts, and patient advocates for a briefing on diabetes and the challenge it poses to society, health policy experts and the health care industry.

We addressed questions such as: How can we improve the management of type- 1? What is being done to prevent type 2 diabetes and ensure access to quality care? What role can policy makers and health experts play in early identification and improved outcomes for at-risk and underserved communities?
