The Senior Director is responsible for: protecting the public policy interests of Association members in front of state and local policy making bodies in the country’s northeastern states and cities; developing and driving strategies on behalf of industry members that both develop proactive, positive relationships with policy makers and defeat discriminatory public policy actions; serving as internal strategist and campaign manager for public policy campaigns in northeastern states and cities and supporting to state beverage association officials in the northeast.

Social Media Curator

The Hill is seeking a social media curator with strong writing skills and an unbridled enthusiasm for all things social.The successful applicant will have journalism experience and will be well versed in the features and advantages of all mainstream social media platforms and have a substantial familiarity with most new, emerging, and fringe platforms.The applicant will regularly be called upon to produce stories about politically-themed topics trending on social media and/or complement the packaging of an existing story with visuals or other social media enhancements.Responsibilities also include uploading posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, and others; tracking social media influence measurements; preparing reports on usage; keeping up to date on the latest social platforms and suggesting ways to enhance The Hill's social presence; continuous monitoring and coverage of all platforms.The candidate must possess sharp news judgment, superior writing abilities, be able to make good news decisions quickly, and execute ideas against high-pressure deadlines.Strong written communication skills are necessary, with an emphasis on grammar/spelling excellence.Prior experience in social media management for a news organization is preferred. Tech Reporter

The Hill is seeking a reporter to cover technology politics and policymaking in Washington. We’re looking for a candidate who understands politics on Capitol Hill and K Street, and who can write fast-breaking news stories in addition to punchy, lengthier pieces. A background in technology reporting is encouraged, but not required. This is a rare chance for an experienced reporter to get to the leading edge of political and policy reporting while working for a well-established and widely respected news outlet. Videographer

The Hill, a leading congressional publication and website, seeks to hire a videographer. This job would involve live streaming, editing raw video for webcasting, and spending many hours each day identifying, downloading and sometimes re-editing political video from websites all over the Internet.The ideal candidate will be multi-media savvy, technically proficient, have strong writing skills and willing to work hard, including frequent weekends.  The ability to write SEO headlines to drive web traffic is also a must.Must be proficient in Final Cut.
