Hedgeye Risk Management is looking to fill the role of Managing Director of Financial Policy on its Hedgeye Potomac Policy Team in its Washington, DC office.  This position will lead the firm’s efforts in providing research and analysis to institutional investors on financial policy issues that affect the capital markets and general economy.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Lead the firm’s efforts in providing research and analysis to institutional investors on financial policy issues that affect the capital markets

•    Provide forward-looking policy and regulatory analysis on issues related to Dodd Frank, SEC, CFTC, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, GSE reform, Student Lending, etc

•    Responsibility and autonomy for building out research coverage for financial policy

•    He or she will report to the Director of Research, but Potomac’s business model and success is a function of our entrepreneurial culture and speed to market

•    Provides content for all of Hedgeye’s digital media offerings, including Web, Mobile, Video and Audio

SKILLS REQUIRED:
•    Strong quantitative skills with a focus on financial modeling

•    Needs to be comfortable working independently and in a high paced, team and sales oriented environment


•    Excellent analytical and writing capability

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
•    Areas of expertise should include; issues surrounding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, GSE Reform/Mortgage Finance Policy, Student Lending/Student Loan Program/Policy and US Housing Policy

•    Command of U.S. House Financial Services and Senate Banking Committees, SEC, CFTC strongly recommended

•    Work experience may include stints  with House Financial Services, Senate Banking Committee and SEC or CFTC

•    7+ years of experience

•    Series 65 license will be required
