Chelsea Handler says she once rejected Ivanka Trump straight to the first daughter’s face, only to be met with a shrug.

The “Chelsea” host — whose politically charged talk show's second season premiered this month on Netflix — recalled the encounter Friday over drinks with a small group of journalists at Teddy & The Bully Bar in downtown Washington.

Both Ivanka Trump, who serves as an adviser to her father at the White House, and Handler, an outspoken critic of President Trump, were among the speakers last October at Fortune magazine’s Most Powerful Women Summit in California.

“I can’t even with you,” Handler recalls uttering to Trump. Handler mimicked the look she says Ivanka Trump responded with, shrugging while appearing bewildered.

Sipping a vodka with lime, the “Are You There, Vodka? It’s me, Chelsea” author weighed in on hot topics including everything from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson flirting with a presidential bid (“The Rock, or at this point I’d take a rock,” Handler quipped, quickly crediting another comedian for the one-liner) to personally encouraging “The Talk’s” Aisha Tyler to make a political bid.

When ITK asked what she’d say to critics who are sick of celebrities spouting off about politics, Handler replied that she started “from nothing.” Recalling waiting tables for seven years, Handler exclaimed, “I’m not allowed to have an opinion?!”
