Republicans and Democrats traded punches their official party Twitter accounts on Wednesday, knocking each other over T-shirt slogans and healthcare.

The GOP began the argument by comparing one of former first lady Michelle ObamaMichelle ObamaMichelle Obama surprises Chance the Rapper with BET Awards video Michelle Obama holds fitness 'bootcamps' for friends Obama marks Father’s Day: ‘I'm most proud to be Sasha and Malia's dad’ MORE's memorable remarks, “when they go low, we go high,” with a slogan on a shirt that reads "Democrats give a shit about people."

The Democrats responded by defending the T-shirt slogan and blasting the Republican plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare.

"Taking away health care from 24 million people is going low. Giving a shit about people is going high," the party tweeted.

Both parties have been trying to claim victory after a special election on Tuesday for an open Georgia House seat went to a runoff, with no candidate securing more than 50 percent of the vote.
